Indesign question PLEASE HELP Oct 5, 08, 10:08 a.m.

I have a bunch of type that I need to change the formatting on. I created a bunch of new styles to lessen the workload...but I still have to go to each line basically and change the style.

question - Is there a way to make InDesign search for all text between brackets....I have a bunch of numbers in brackets that need to be changed and it would be great if InDesign could find them all at once....seeing as how I'm dealing with hundreds of pages.

I guess it would be like a cascading style sheet function, but applied to print...can I do this?

I know I can change the preference to a smaller point size...but it seems like Quark could disable it completely.

and probably a stupid one.

Once I've made a Master page and then duplicated that master page like 80 times

HOW can I make it so that I can edit 1 item on each of the 80 versions...they all have to be slightly different. Yet it seems like once I make a master page those elements are all locked once I jump back to my pages.

In Quark ...just becaus eyou set up a document in a master page...you could still edit those master page items in the document.

I'm SURE InDesign can do this...but I'm starting to lose my hair trying to find it.

Any help?
