Vacation Layoff May 13, 08, 7:28 a.m.

Hey guys. Just wanted to share my last week and 2 days....

went to costa rica for vacation... had the time of my life. really....

fly back saturday, find message from boss on my phone... i check in with colleagues....

20 person layoff while i was gone, including me.

i got canned during my vacation!!!!!

Hi. I need some advice... i am considering San Fran as a possible new home in a year or so..ish... but i've never really experienced it.

i currently live in NYC and adore it, but the west coast is calling me back....(lived in LA and SD)

my friend said SF is a mix of San Diego and NYC... is this true? I'm a designer and artist, so i felt NYC was the right place, is SF a good next move??
