let's have another thread about faking tilt shift photography. since the ps lens blur filter came out it is actually not a technical problem anymore:

before that filter photoshop was not able to generate progressive blur effects. i did this one without ps, using a script that processed the increasing blur with finalcut (rendering about 10 hours) :

a real tilt shift lens does not increase the actual depth blur. it also only fakes this impression in a simple way. so painting the the depth matte can be done very simple. i experimented with punching out elements, blurring them differently and composing them back together - but the results were by far not more impressive than a simple gradient - although it doesn't match the real depth.

under osx within any open/save dialogue below the file name there is a dropdown with the path to the current location. also there always was a list of recently visited folders in this dropdow. this little usefull history disappeard from my contexts and i can but totally not find out how to reactivate it. any ideas?

was a little piece of pixel based picture manipulation software under mac os 7.6 back in the middle 90s. i used it because it did one thing photoshop never did: perfect anti-aliasing to jagged graphics as a post-process. does anyone know anything that would do this nowadays?

with firefox 3.0 under osx i cannot log in to my wordpress blog and leaving comments - also on blogspot blogs - is impossible, too. i receive no allerts - those functions are just like not linked at all. does anybody know the problem + solution or info-link?
