I'm moving from a permanent design position into a contract role and have a lot to organise. Most important of all seems to be a good accountant... are there any other contractors here who can recommend a good 'contractor accountancy firm' who they are happy with and is a specialist in this area?

I have just put all of my DSLR camera equipment and lenses on eBay as over the last year I have been using it less and less due to the size and inconvenience of carrying it around.

I am looking to get something smaller and will have a budget of around £500 max.

I have read through the great post about the Macro Four Thirds cameras however this is slightly old so was wondering what is best at the moment?

P.S. I don't really shoot video so this isn't a deciding factor.

Android Image Re-sizing? May 18, 11, 8:21 a.m.

I'm needing to resize a large number of Android bitmap images from mdpi to ldpi (-75%). When I try and do this however the 9-patches get destroyed and re creating them is a bit of a guessing game which has caused a number of errors.

Does anyone know a way of shrinking bitmap images (especially 9-patch ones) and keeping the quality and preventing them for becoming so rasterised and soft edged?

Anyone know of any resource or documentation detailing all the default icons used on the standard Android and where those icons are used throughout the device etc?

I realise you can download the default set of 659 off the Android development site however there doesn't seem to be any documentation for them.

Any help would be very much appreciated and save me a huge amount of time.

In CS3 when you used the marquee tool you could then hold down the space bar which allowed you to move it position. This shortcut seems to have changed in CS4 though. Anyone know how to not achieve this in CS4?

Hi,

I am creating a site at present that requires the user to fill out quite an extensive form to order the service offered. In your experience as a designer/developer and user do you feel it is better to have payment at the end ofthe form or before they begin. Basically which do you feel is better and more likely to get results?

On a second point, which do you feel is the best shopping cart to use with wordpress and paypal to take said payment and not have to direct the user away from the site?

Any help/advice much appreciated.

Does anyone know of any services/site that offers a user the ability to send data via a text message which is then stored in a personal database that you can access through their site etc.

I have a number of psd's (with a huge amount of layers) which are using a font I don't have. I wish to replace the font and the easiest way to do this is Layer/Type/Replace All Missing Fonts. It then just chooses Myriad though.

Basically the question is:
Is there a way to tell it which font to replace it with instead of photoshop making the choice for me?
