New Lens Advice/Help? Jan 4, 09, 7:43 a.m.

I have a Canon 20D with a Canon 28-135 & 100-300 lenses but am now looking for a wide angle lens more suitable for landscape (and indoor) photos etc. I have a budge of approx £400 but am totally confused with the ammount of choice out there. At the moment I am thinking of:

Tokina AF 12-24 f/4 AT-X Pro (around £345 and at the moment my top choice)

Canon EF-S 10-22 f/3.5-4.5 USM (around £499 so potentially to expensive)

Sigma 10-20 f/4.0-5.6 EX IF HSM ASP DC (around £328 so in budget)

Sigma 12-24 f/4.5-5.6 EX IF HSM ASP DG (around £459 so slightly over budget)

Tamron 10-24 f/3.5-4.5 Di II (around £369 so also in budget)

Basically my question is which is the best of these lenses and does anyone here have any of these and already had to make this decision? Any help and advice would be much appreciated. Also if there are any other choices other than what I have listed please let me know :)

Stupid question i am sure but can't seem to work it out. In CS3 when I have created an animated file how do I save it as an animated .gif?

If you want to uninstall software on a Mac is it simply a matter of going into Applications and deleting the folder or is there a better/proper way of doing this?

Coming to NY in a few days and looking to pick up a new lens for my Canon 20D while I am there.

The two I am split over are:

Canon 50mm 1.4 USM (about $320)
Sigma 30mm 1.4 (about $439)

Does anyone have any advice and experience of which is the better lens. I don't have a huge budget obviously and both these seem to be quite well rated.

good watches in New York?

Coming to NY in a couple of weeks for my 30th B'day and looking to get myself a nice new watch (TAG, Omega, Bell & Ross). Haven't decided what to get as yet but will most likely be quality Swiss made etc.

So, where is good to get watches like this in NY. Obviously cost is an issue so want places that are good value.

Anyone got any recommendations for good, experienced prospecting experts/agents (companys or individuals)?

I know artists/illustrators use agents a lot to find them work, negotiate prices and collecting payment etc. but wonder if this is also done with web and print design?

When presenting your initial designs (6 in this case) to the client do you find it is best to just show the logos in black (mono) so they don't get distracted by the colour etc. or should it have full detail?

I'm needing to do a logo that incorporates an Octopus and could really do with some inspiration (others logos incorporating octopus imagery, octopus icons, general octopus illustrations etc)...

Turned on my iMac at home last night and neither the wireless keyboard or mouse would connect. Kind of a big problem as I have it password protected, no regular keyboard and therefore can't do anything... anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

I'm coming to New York later in the year and want to organise a really special night. What do you consider the best restaurant in New York to be (price is not an problem). After a fantastic meal what should I then book/organise (will be for 4+ people).
