So Facebook requires pages to have at least 25 fans in order to attain a username for the page. I figure QBN might be able to help us do this for clients, since there are at least 25 of us here with FB accounts.

So, here's my thought. Any link that you post here -- and please only post links to authentic clients -- that need user names, the rest of us will become a fan of the page, in exchange for doing so for others.

Say I get an Illustrator file from a client or previous designer and it says something like:

Missing Font: Univers CondensedLight

And I want to replace it with:
Univers Condensed Light

It seems the only difference between my font and the previous one is the space between Condensed and Light.

Anyway, is there a way to find where this font is used quickly? In Flash, you can Find/Replace a font--which I love. But I can't, for the life of me, find where this erroneously named font is used and how to swap it w/ my current font so I don't keep getting that warning upon opening the document(s).

I just realized that more than half of my colleagues at university have sorta left the design field. Some are now making crappy jewelry on Etsy and considering themselves to be born-again artists. Some are resigned to work in stationery stores. Others just left the workforce completely, event though they either didn't have children, or their kids are now in school all day, so the excuse is invalid.

This is especially alarming because, while there were 48 applicants in the freshman class, only 17 of us were allowed through the program after sophomore portfolio review, and only 13 ended up graduating.

It's weirdly disappointing, and somewhat unsettling to know that I don't have the comfort of my allies that survived 4 years in a rigorous Visual Communication program to continue with me in the working world.

Have your experiences been similar?
