Ok so everytime I make a post I get people making fun of my name and the fact that I'm young, but I know I'm not the only one.

I know that it's easy to get intimidated by all the well-aged 30-somethings on this site that shoot down anything that's too hip or fresh for their outdated style, but I say no more! I know that it usually depends on who you're talking to and how you've come to meet them, but I've recently started looking out for foolproof techniques to keep a conversation going.

I'm talking about that awkward silence that can come around at the end of regular pleasantries. I usually attempt something in the movie/music/news category but that only goes so far for some people. Sometimes when I feel like I'm the one doing all the work in a conversation I'll just start bringing up completely random questions or non-sequitors just to see how the person will react, or just walk away.

I just bought a basic keyboard/drumpad/controller setup and downloaded ableton a couple weeks ago and have been experimenting with all of the different stuff I can do with it.
Mostly I've been recording stuff raw from the keyboard and haven't really gotten into cutting and editing anything into a real song yet.
It seems like a healthy few of you are into this sort of thing so I was wondering what programs you all use and if you have any suggestions for finding sounds/beats?

So yesterday I had a bit of a party and we were playing music from my computer out in the backyard hooked up to some speakers. Some fucker decided it'd be fun to put a bunch of candles right beside where my it was sitting and ended up spilling wax all over the bottom row of my keyboard. Now there's an abundance of flakey wax pieces under my keys and the keys as well as most of the bottom of my laptop is all tacky with wax. Anyone have any ideas on how to clean this shit up?

I saw it on Thursday, amazing. Pixar continues to amaze me with their ability to connect adult and child audiences flawlessly with completely original ideas. This is the perfect movie to be marketed to kids at a time like this, some of it felt like a kiddy version of Orwell.

My macbook pro recently drowned and I'm thinking about getting a cheaper alternative that would still be able to edit video and music rather smoothly.
Everyone tells me that macs are "the way you wanna go" for video but those same people can't even give me an example of anything else that could handle it well. Any suggestions?

Ok so I'm just about ready to kill a troll making personal attacks on one of my friends, so i'm wondering what advice any of you have on tracking an email address. I also have a facebook account that the troll made but I'm not sure if that's worth anything.

Ideal would be some way to find out an address so I can throw a brick through his fucking window.
