macbookpro/imac image for comps/presenting Jul 14, 08, 6:13 p.m.

Does anyone recommend or have a place were you can get a pretty hi-res images of a macbookpro and imac images so that I can present a site to a client on how it "could" look in on a computer.

I've seen some people have it but no idea were they get the images from other then possibly Apple's website.

I just graduated school and I am starting to look for jobs in NYC. I've been looking on Krop and Creativehotlist and I haven't seen too many entry-level/junior design positions. I have my 365 AIGA Year in design book and I have been looking at all the studios in NY. Is it ok if I just email these studios asking if they are hiring any junior designers? Would it be rude that I was doing this?

I do have some internship experience and my portfolio and website are all done so I think trying to get a junior designer position would be better then just something super entry level.

Can anyone recommend a place where I can order those clear digitray packs and the cd hubs that you can stick onto things and attach a cd without having to order 100 quantity or getting raped by extra fees since the order is too small. I just want 10 of each.

Can anyone recommend where i can buy the paper newspapers are printed on? I went to a few art stores and they had regular newsprint but it did not feel the same. If someone knows a place in NYC/NJ that would be extra helpful, if not I can order it online.

does anyone still do it? i spent all of yesterday doing an assignment for class. i think its a cool thing to learn, but is kid of redudant since you can just work on the computer.

i took a class in book arts last semester and we never were able to get into making traditional books. we only got as far as coptic binding. (we spent half the semester learning how to make portfolio boxes)
