How do, so I'm curious as I'm gonna be spending a few weeks in London (B&B in Hamstead Heath) where's good for a few pints in a slightly bohemian setting. Not that I mind having a chat to a local random or two but I tend to attract the nut jobs. So where's a safe bet?

Sooo, who are the truly ace isometric illustrators out there? Not so much in the eboy/pixel art direction. I know Superfad are up there when it comes to isometric motion graphics... but I'm struggling to think of any others.

I'm working on a facebook app and having crossdomain issues with importing images from facebook gallery.

Is there a way of creating a displacement map that behaves like an adjustment layer so it can automatically warp anything placed on a layer below it?

I thought there was but I forgot you have to apply a displacement map to a layer manually which isn't ideal as I need to supply a psd that someone with basic photoshop knowledge can simply add layer and save out a jpg.

I'm looking at getting a new monitor as my cheap as chips little iiyama isn't all that great, especially for print work.

Also I don't have space for a CRT so what would you say are the best flat panels monitors out there that aren't silly money?

Guessing it'll have to be a S-IPS TFT display and I've heard good things about the HP LP2475W.

Can anyone recommend something similar, or better? Really not all that fussed about it being the prettiest monitor in the world. Looking at the quality of the display over anything else.

Have you guys got work around for embedding a font without generating an image. I was looking at using the WEFT method but as I've not used it before I just wondered if you guys have and if it's worth looking at?

I know this is old and I'm sure you've all seen it but it came up in conversation the other night with a good mate. I stated it was good but very obviously CGI, at which point I got ranted at for not believing it to have been done for real and that I think everything is CG. I stood my ground because I my mind there's no way it could have been done for real... or am I really a pessimist and it is real?
