It's been a while since we've had a good one...

So, Friday March 21, 2008 QBN presents The Art is War, a QBN Official
Photoshop Battle. The source image will be selected from this thread.
Then on Friday at 5:00AM PST the 19 hour battle begins, commencing at
12:00AM PST of the same day. On Monday, March 24th we will post The
Finalist Thread. You vote, winners will be announced....

Oh, and the Grand prize winner gets a Macbook Air.

Again, the source image will be selected from THIS thread, so do your
best and give us a good canvas.

UPDATE: When submitting ideas, post medium res images, adding a note to your response linking a high res version if available.

Narrowing hundreds of great entries down to only a dozen was a horrible experience. We stuck to Humor, Execution, and Creativity as our criteria. There are at least 30 more that should be finalists, but this is a competition, so enough of that.

My name is Patrick. Sometime during the fall of 2004, I noticed an involuntary shaking in my legs. For a long time the exact cause eluded definition.

On May 24th, 2005, however, I was officially diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (also known as ALS or Lou Gherig's disease), a terminal disease that results in the progressive degeneration of the nerves and muscles responsible for voluntary movement. It is a fatal and incurable disease. I was 30 years old.
