Colour settings nightmare Aug 13, 08, 2:51 a.m.
heres the typical scenario:
1. receive or create logo as vector in illustrator
2. create layout on photoshop
3. sometimes create layout in flash
when i copy and paste from illustrator to ps and flash, the colours are fine but when i save for web from photoshop, the colours look washed out and lighter. this becomes a problem because once i place that image onto flash, it looks washed out compared to the one pasted straight to flash from illustrator. also, saving as jpeg from illustrator does the same thing.
im using the same colour profiles on illustrator and ps, flash doesnt have colour settings or does it? the closest i can get it to look the same on ps and on a browser is if i set ps to soft proof with monitor rgb which means i cant use the hex values from illustrator directly to ps.
why cant adobe display proper colours on these programs? whats the point of being able to copy and paste thru the 3 apps if you cant keep the colours consistent once you rasterize or view on a browser?
im tired, i'll explain again if im not making any sense.
