Ilustrator cs4 warning Feb 4, 09, 1:37 p.m.

hello all at QBN!

I've experienced some alarming behavior with Illustrator cs4 with running multiple artboards that I thought I should share with the community & also see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue.

The issue is that when I make a document with multiple artboards and have content on say 3 or 4 of them, the save command causes the app to crash & the save as, save a copy produces a corrupt & unreadable file even through acrobat / photoshop etc.

when I have a single artboard its all solid & plain sailing & not having to recreate my artwork again!!

My copy of cs4 is totally legit - so perhaps a premature release of this handy multiple artboard facility.

So QBN whats the word on the streets?

Hi all you nice peeps on QBN :)

Just thought i'd share my first make the logo bigger situation of 2009.

I was freelancing for a nice agency working with some brass balls marketing exec. She was completely adamant that the clients logo was too small.

In the end I made more white space around the logo and this completely tricked her!

does anyone have any funny stories about this kind of thing?

Hello all, i'm making a flash based screen saver that will end up in use on 17 - 30 inch monitors any idea what size I should make the flash source, I think i'm gonna make two versions one for standard monitor & one for widescreen monitor. Any ideas as there will be some bitmap content within so I'm a bit concerned about scaling. If anyone has some experience they would like to share that would be great.

where do i stand Jul 4, 08, 1:39 p.m.

So i was made redundant from an agency two months ago & I'm doing quite well for myself as a freelancer doing my own thing etc.

My problem is that they still have my photo & profile on their website, The image of me was taken by a close friend of mine who is a photographer so they no longer have my permission to display this image of me.

I think that they don't want to look thin on the ground staff wise with their client presence on the web as I was the only designer there. I'm not happy about this situation as i'm trying to build my own business now.

Does anyone know how i stand legally as I don't work for them now & they are saying I do according to the website. Plus I never gave permission or release to my profile being on there in the first place!

flash actionscript file to screensaver Jul 3, 08, 12:39 a.m.

hello all, I'm faced with making a screensaver from a flash file & I really need it to support actionscripted tweens etc. & also need to create a msi installer for it to be distributed.

Does anyone know of some software to do this please I'm on a mac so would be good if I could make on this platform.
