Filter

Seems like I am finally getting my upgrade to CS3 (on a Quad-Core Intel Xeon Mac) today, and I plan to install on the run, as I am too busy to take my time, and too desperate to rid myself of CS2 crashiness.

Does anyone have any advice to make this transition quick and smooth?

I am this day listening to a little compilation called “Indie Rock Playlist March 2008”, which, I gather is the latest and greatest from the world of indie rock – it is apparently “guaranteed fresh”. You see, I’m trying to open my ears to some new sounds, etc, but it seems I missed a memo somewhere along the way. Thus, I ask you QBNers, why the fuck is nearly every indie band out there trying to sound like Modest fucking Mouse>!>?!

Now, I don’t mind Modest Mouse, but come on! Even the bands with chick singers come off sounding like them. Is this meant to be the new wave of drunken sailor music, or something?

Are they all going to sound like Arcade Fire next month?
