Is there a way to put an even onto a site (lets say college graduation) and once the event is over the site will default to a different page?

More or less an "if>then" event that "if" the event is past an expiration date it "then" reverts back to an index page.

The bookkeeper / accountant at our office has had her hours cut drastically. I told her that since she has experience with creatives she could help out some freelancers or other studios.

So I am basically pimping her out. She is looking for freelancers / studios to do bookkeeping for in the Orange County / LA area.

You guys / girls have any leads? Or need anyone?

First off, please keep this post clean... please.

With an impending need to jump the sinking ship that is my current employer. I am looking ahead to possible changes within my skill set.

What do you believe a designer in the current market needs to know to make him/herself standout within the crowds?

I.e. if you are a print designer should you know css? Environmental / Industrial designer should know apparel?

I do understand that being a "designer" should be able to cross boundaries but employers don't see it that way. Its a bit black and white to most.

Please advise. This is a bit vexing and I am looking for some advice.
