It feels like everyone is trying to build a do-it-all service, when what we need is actually just a better way of doing-it-yourself.For instance; I see a lot of great stuff on Flickr, but I would much rather see the person's work without the framework of a web-service. A personal site, built by themselves.
The same thing is potentially happening with Facebook, there's a logo everywhere on your life, whatever you do. <Company Name> makes my life so easier! It just works.
The future is broken.

i've been loosely following the virb 2 dev blog and twitter for over a year now, there's been no mention of the mediatemple acquirement (at least that i've noticed) until today.
funny i was thinking just last week how Krop folio looked so very Virb-ish. or is that (mt)-ish. or QB... oh Nevermind.
