    Hi chaps,

I’ve spent the last while building Loaf ( https://loaf.tax/ ), an expense tracker designed to make logging costs and keeping evidence for the tax man as frictionless as possible. Built specifically for UK tax compliance, it focuses on making expense categorisation and HMRC-ready record-keeping fast and easy.

I’m at the stage where I need real-world critique. If you have a moment, I’d appreciate it if you would take a look and tell me what you think, or if you find any bugs.

There is a 7-day free trial (no card required) so feel free to take a look.

I’m here to learn and improve the app, so any criticism welcome!

    Cheers

    Page blocked at work... :/

The image you shared looks clean. Is it representative of the actual UI? If so, are there common actions that should be persistent (scanning receipts?) vs a stacked/long scroll?

    • Perhaps? Hard to say for sure without properly using it. I'm also probably not the target demo, but it was the first thing that came to mind if that happens...duckseason
    • ...to be one of the core functions of getting expenses into the app. Food for thought.duckseason

    Bones are good; quick ideas:

    I. "UK tax compliance" should be prominent. Even just a flag near the wordmark/logo/etc. as THAT is your market, eh?

II. UI/UX looks nice; loaf OR LOAF should be a literal bread shape AND colours should match; i love the "Less tax. More dough" tagline so it makes sense to play that up IMO. Think a classy European bakery vibe(s).

III. Again, bones are good. Look at a few competitors in the same space (a lot of 'em...) and make a list of what separates loaf/LOAF rather than trying to fit it in (IMO).

Godspeed @ADP AND great work / inspiring.

    *applause*

Hey there - I'd love to know what your pricing approach is going to be. I'm working on something related / unrelated right now that is a financial tool and while I'm not yet at the point of really thinking through pricing, subscriptions, etc. it's on my mind. So if you've gone down that path yet, some insights would be great.

    • Oh cool. I actually sent you an email last night funnily enough. Happy to have a chat about pricing stuff over email.ADP
    • Awesome - can you resend or use the form on mg33.com? Haven't gotten anything.mg33
