Am in the market for a new desk and wondered where you purchased from etc...

Not looking to purchase an Eames classic but essentially something that looks considered. While am not 100% scared or Wayfair, I went to there store over the weekend and what I saw was horrid. Also they only had 10% of the desks online in the actual store. WTF!?!?

Anyway - show me what you got!

I'm using an old woodshop desk that is a hacked together mess, BUT IF I had the budget for something nice, I'd be keen on something like the Grovemade Desk (and their accessories); it's sit/stand, etc. BUT obviously at a premium cost.

    Good inspiration none-the-less (IMO) @nylon!

    : )

    • I have the original Jarvis and it looks a lot like this. I just looked it up and now it’s only at DWR or Herman Miller. Yikes.monospaced
    • I use a wood desk myself but I have a grove desk pad and it is so damn sexy.monospaced
    • Ditto @monospaced! Little luxuries, eh? : )ideaist

    Years ago, I bought a second-hand drafting table—tall, height- and angle-adjustable—for just around €50.

It's a fantastic investment, and you can customize the tabletop.

Mine is about 120x80cm. It's ideal for a couple of good monitors, and when you need to, you can move the keyboard and mouse aside to draw, read, or sketch.

    • My wife had one of these AND damn/when the spring on the "brake" / release that holds it in place goes off; WATCH YOUR JAW / FACE!!!ideaist
    • Yes, it is capable of catapulting the monitors to meters, LOLOBBTKN
