i lived there for 5 years and don't think there's any opening

don't go to hong kong if you expect to work in the creative field, both the culture and economic atmosphere down here is down.
very down.

Earlier this month, I spent about a week in HK visiting my gf's family. Had the time of my life.
I was only there for a week, so my impressions of the place were shaped by my tourist's perspective ... but still, HK rocks and rolls. I loved it.
We're already making plans for our next visit and have been seriously talking about moving there. YMMV, however - I'm a contractor who hasn't worked onsite in years (all I need are a fast net connection and a computer), so I probably wouldn't be in the position of pounding the pavement looking for a 9-5 job in a foreign country.

i've been working on getting a design job in japan for a while (and i know a lot of people there). its just not happening at the moment.
there's the added problem of being reasonably proficient in the countries language.
its difficult

Dinky Winky Pinky:
to compare with HK, i suggest might be worth a look to Shanghai, as both the culture and economic aspect in growing faster there, just like HK in 10 year ago......
merry christmas.

i had a job offer in Shanghai but its expansive to live.
sincei dont speak mandarin (let alot my broken cantonese) everything costs alot more for me.
few of my friends are doing modeling in HK ... since they love korean stuff, maybe i should go there and become a star.. HEHA

its hard unless you know someone.. one of my friend got a job there as a interior designer (she has no interior design expereience or degree). her dad is a well known designer and got her the job. few of my friends who graded from local university couldnt get a job there.
if you got the hook ups man, go for it. i wish i did.. i am gonna try to convince my grandparents to find me a job there but they dont like me so will se what happens.
