I asked this before about sweden only but I'm thinking about maybe denmark now..
Basically I'm in college and I'm looking for somewhere to go for the summer thats a bit different and somewhere that my whole class isn't going to (canada seems to be in this year) so myself and a few mates have decided on probably the sweden/denmark area cause from what we've heard you get far better weather than we get here jobs pay pretty well and lets face it your woman are far better looking than (most) irish girls.. haha..
Anyway some questions for anyone living in denmark and sweden:
Is it really that expensive compared to ireland?
Are there any design/web summer jobs? (i.e. in a big studio/company)
If no design or web jobs does the usual "Irish man gets instant job in a pub" rule apply?
how do bar/restaurant jobs pay?
Do most people speak english? (I know i shouldn't expect them too but we're engineering and design students and we fuking hate languages cause we've no time to learn any..)
Some help would be appreciated..
Thanks..

I lived in Finland for 3 years and the summers were good and travelled through Sweden as well. Finland is fun during summer as is Sweden. You cannot reallly compare Canada to Scandanavia though as Canada is more like the USA than anything else.

don't worry I wasn't comparing canada to scandanavia - It just seems to be "the place to go" this summer.. e.g. I'm going to avoid it..

I would look into work visa if you're considering working there... work visas for any country are a difficult thing.

I lived in Stockholm for 2 summers. My uncle has a place and art gallery there.
I loved it but I had an insiders point of view. I got to live in a flat and hang out with local that are in the art scene.
it was one of my best experiences, Italy summers are by far my Favorite. Spend 2 months in Florence and you'll never want to go anywhere else.

He is from Ireland so he is not going to need a visa - you can work in any EU country you know.
