I have a pdf file which I'd like to print ... it doesn't seem to work.
Is there such a thing as a print protection?
If yes, can it be removed?

Ah the great dilemma of copy protection. Basically, once I have the data, be it a document, or a video, or an mp3, whatever, there is no way you can stop me reading that data in whatever way i want. If you manage to stop people printing from acrobat, good for you. But it's always possible to peel the data out of it and into a friendly app that *will let me print it.
That was a bit ranting of me, apologies for that. But my 2 cents anyway.
