Stop Mauling My Work

Does anyone have any ideas on how to present online / interactive work that has been altered (for the worse) since you have worked on it. I mean how are you supposed to include work that is really good, and has been mauled since you touched it last? This has happened so many times...WHAT CAN WE DO?!?!?!?!

put a copy of the site on your site and then link to it in your portfolio. I had this problem with a legal coalition I did an intro for.

I have done that, and I think it is a good idea. The problem is when a studio is looking for candidates the typical scenario I have run into is " send an email with 5 urls."
Its at that point that you lose control. I know there is little to be done, it just sucks.

upload your version of the site to your server and send the hiring firm the link to the site that lies on your server
