Has there been any significant changes in strategy?
Are tags the "newest" tactic?
Are backlinks are as important as they used to be?
Same old shit or what?

Thanks Trooperbill, if I'm using a Squarespace template for my store where I sell things, is their SEO mostly set up well or are there things I need to do on my end to drive more traffic? Sorry, newb on this subject.

@zarkonite both seem to be corrections to previous updates as we see the same sites affected.
focus on EAT/YMYL content and consolidate similar pages into a single improved resource.
if you want a triage measure then look at what pages google has swapped the ranking to and optimise and outreach to those

@canoe
1. researching content, analysing competitor ui and writing (EAT) content is now at the forefront.
2. no tags suck
3. yes they're still where i put a majority of my campaign budget
4. always get the ABCs right and you cant go far wrong

@cbass99
im sorry but for seo squarespace sucks. the system is designed to be restrictive and doesnt feature some very basic SEO principles.
to circumvent you need a load of outreach... more than you would usually need.
