They completely changed how transforming works. It worked one way since its inception, now it works completely differently for no reason at all.
I saw a thread about this on the adobe forums, someone complaining about this, and the response from the adobe register was to actually make a change in the registry of the computer! Guess it cant be changed back to the way it was just through the preferences. Unreal

Before you would hit control T and grab one of the handles, but now it forces a perspective scale, but even trying like alt and shit, it just doesnt work right. Its maddening.
- Lol shit. Meant shiftCygnusZero4
- Forces a perspective scale? No, it does not. It just forces a proportional scale, which is pretty much a welcome update.monospaced
- Thats what I meantCygnusZero4
- but it DOES do what you want using shift and alt if you don't want it proportionalmonospaced
- yeah dude, just press shift for the liquid resize and no-shift for proportional. They just reversed it, also you can change that back in prefs.zarkonite

Literally, only use it to resize images... If it was me paying the subscription i would have cancelled it a long time ago.

it takes some getting used to but it really should have been this way from the beginning. The default should always have been to constrain proportions when transforming

It really does make sense, as much as I hate it changing after 23yrs of using it the other way. Just confused as to why Illustrator isn't the same.

If I hit control T and want to grab the bottom middle handle of an object and ONLY scale it straight down, but constrain it so that it doesnt move left or right, how do you do that now? It was so easy before and I used it all the time, and now I cant even find a way to do it.
- It actually worked this way by default.CygnusZero4
- just hold shiftmonospaced
- the only way to make it skew is if you hold command (macOS), which is unchangedmonospaced

Was waiting for this improvement since 1999.

It totally makes sense, how often do you want to scale an image non-proportionately? But yeah after 20+ years of using shift it still messes me up every time.
