Good day QBN scene,
I have my first opportunity to shoot portraits for a TV poster for a pilot which may or may not make the cut, who knows. Just wondering what things I should look out for, any tips or tricks would be most appreciated.
Shooting on a green screen and given as of now 0 direction and starting to sweat about it.Thanks

Shoot on white. Easier to mask than green personally.

Ohhhh shhiiieet. Long time no see!
I second on shooting on white back ground.
If you can get a brief of the pilot and sense of the story mood might help.If we can get scarabin in here that be great. He makes posters

So the premise of the story is of a celebrity therapist who has God and Goddess as her client. I was thinking of doing something super simple, reminiscent of the Happiness poster or the curb your enthusiasm poster of a simple therapist chair set up. But i'll be honest i haven't had much direction yet from the team and just trying to have some sort of back up in case it completely falls on me.

Nice, a fellow SB photographer! Is there a reason you haven’t asked for direction? Why would the creative direction be your responsibility?
- just looking for any tips you might have for working with people against a green screen for a poster.sadpanda
- Shoot on a white/gray seamless. Green screen is for video and will cause a headache in post for whoever is retouching.juanluisgarcia
- after reading the comments i told them that and they said they're filming more on it (found this out 10 min ago). Apparently someone else is doing the poster.sadpanda

I asked for a direction board, pinterest (which i did get but was so random and few and had to do with wardrobe that it didn't matter), sketches, something, from the first conversation i had with the producer. Waiting. waiting waiting. I came on board about 2 weeks ago, and the shoot is Saturday.
- ahhh panic time i guess!pango
- Not sure if it’s lack of communication or something else but this has so many red flags. Make sure you get paid is all I’m thinking nowjuanluisgarcia

Your question as to why would the creative direction be my responsibility is amazing. I just realized that is so NOT my job. I'm just there to shoot. I'm so used to doing everything from conceptualizing the shoot, to execution and everything in between that I forget that thats not my job. Simple question, but that changed my mind set. Thanks JLG. ps. Dig your work man. You from SB?
