I ditched cable over 10 years ago... everything I ever wanted to watch can be found online.
My Wife and I share a Hulu, Amazon and Netflix account w/various siblings / friends. I think altogether we spend $99 / year on Amazon Prime, $8-9 /month on Netflix and about the same on Hulu. You can add-on to Hulu more tiers of entertainment so you can watch Game of Thrones type stuff etc. All carry 4k stuff but I think you have to buy-up to watch that stuff.
If you have a Smart TV and respectable Interwebs connection you should set to watch on TV... although I watch most shows on my phone or lap/desktop.

Ditched cable 4 years ago. No way I am going back to Cable. I am literally getting calls every 2-3 days from my internet company offering me cable for 10 bucks with 2 months at no charge. To end the suffering I accepted their offer 4 months ago. I had forgotten what it feels like to have shitloads of channels I have no interest in watching. Took the box back before the first billing cycle began. And of course they immediately started phoning me to offer me cable once again.
Have lived on Shomi, CraveTV and Netflix these past 4 years.
Would be interested to know what other options we have here in Canada. Shit's limited for us up here.

I haven't had cable since early 00's. My internet comes with the basic bitch channels like ABC, NBC, etc. I pay for Netflix and use Kodi for everything else. And, occasionally rip a RedBox movie if it was worth another watch.

I'd love to but how do you get football? (American football) And local news (NBC/ABC, etc)
- just google whatever NFL game you want. There are lots of live streams (usually on Youtube).section_014
