Interesting, and similar to the concept behind Muji in japan as someone else has already said.
What I find interesting is that by calling something 'Brandless' that in itself will become a brand and therefore ruins the concept.
The company doesn't control the brand – brand is people's perception of that company and as such is up to consumers to decided what they think of it. This is dictated not just be the visual brand, but their overall experience of the company and their opinion that is formed over time. By that logic, no company can truly be brandless..they can only shun a logo etc.
