I've learned a ton from Lynda.com. There are tutorials for everything.

Lynda is amazingly great. Those tutorials will get you up an running fast. The teachers are all very good and concise. And there's nothing like being able to pause the teacher so you can here what you need again.
I learned C4D about 9 years ago. If you're in your first year learning something this is the place to go.

I met her at a conference in 2006. She was presenting a new vector based program from developers FutureWave. Guess what that soon became.
