Dependencies > Collect for Output works wrong more times than not. Does anyone else have this problem?
Many times I want to grab one simple precomp out of a large project and export just the stuff I need. It might not even require any external files.
Instead, most of the time, it ignores "just the selected comp", "reduce project" options and vomits like Mr. Creosote from Monty Python's Meaning of Life.

sometimes I forget to either select the comp or check the right options, we all do mistakes
just check the file after collecting to see if it's everything there
- Yes, Everything I need is there but so is everything else from the original file as well. Sometimes it's gigabytes worth, depending on your project.CyBrainX

- when it asks me to save the project I usually rename it and save to my desktop and once its collected ill move it back to my work folderRamanisky2
- << make sure you have the comp selected when you hit reduce ...Ramanisky2
- Thanks. Yes, I make sure, but this hasn't been just an occasional situation. It has happened more than half the times I've done this for years.CyBrainX
- yeah their reduce/collect process seems to have gotten wonkier over the last couple of versions.Ramanisky2

There is a person walking through the frame in this video:
https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/…Client asked me to remove him so I did this in after effects:
https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/…Client thinks it looks worse and has particular issues with the grey triangle I added:
Any suggestions how I can improve it. If it's quick - Anyone want to take a crack at it? I will pay them for their time.
- Here you go, https://www.youtube.…helloeatbreathedrive
- You're on the right track but you'll need to roto every frame + add a feather to the edge of the mask. Then add a Camera Lens Blur to increase the DOF...MrBixler
- ...in that area, and help cover any imperfectionsMrBixler
- Mocha AE!!!! Track the tips of the flowers in front of the guy and the edge of wall. Photoshop the wall in back, covering up the guy’s head (just rubber stampfyoucher1
- that shizz), and extend it over the guy and behind the flowers. Use the tracking data to position the PSed black wall in the footage. Use the track to mask outfyoucher1
- a separate version of the flowers that you can put over the wall.fyoucher1
- yeah what you did is awful. you could simply draw a mask around the guy/black area, then set mask to none, then colour correct with curves...shapesalad
- https://vimeo.com/29…fyoucher1
- plus a fill effect set to the mask area... to get him out. then just go frame by frame adjusting the mask, it's only a few frames.shapesalad
- We all hate rotoscoping but this is probably only 30 frames or so. It'll take you about an hour of fussing with a vector mask.CyBrainX
- anyone want to take this on for $50. I will paypal them.hotroddy
- MrBixler and fyoucher1 both approaches would do it well. I've done a lot of tracking, in my case to slim down an actor moving around. Looked great, pretty easy.shellie
- thanks but I have zero AE experience. Anyone willing to take it shot. They can pull video directly off link.hotroddy
- shapesalad is on ithotroddy
- Scale the shot up 25% and crop that shot wrecker out!stoplying
- Paint over in PS/AE, just the 1st frame. In AE, stabilize the seq. Instead of stabilizing, use the data to track your cleaned frame to follow the cam movesseldon
- no roto/hand anim neededseldon

It'll say footage is missing, link it to the original clip you posted up there.
It's about 80% there. You'll see on the top layer the mask path is key framed roughly - you just need to go through frame by frame and tweak a little bitt the mask path till it looks perfect.
- took 2mins to do by the way.shapesalad
- downloading now.hotroddy
- Just sent to client. I will paypal $50 if she accepts.hotroddy
- it may take her a few days... so hold tighthotroddy
