I can't tell what this show is about from that trailer but it really made me miss Leftovers.
- Leftovers is highly underrated. I can't wait for more of it.monospaced

Fuck. They're only giving is one more season of Leftovers.
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com…- I was about to say i wonder if it was canceled. They can't leave it where they did. It was just starting to get surreal.shellie

Great show. Beautifully shot. Very smart. Insanely creative. It's way out there. It's a drop of Leftovers with a dash of stranger things. But it's very original. So glad I watched.

Spoilers:
I know they didn't reveal everything. But the scarring on her back. Not the easiest place for someone to self inflict symbols there. Why not the legs or torso?
- pango2
SHE'S THE LESBIAN FROM COMMUNITY!
No wonder she looks familiar!

4 episodes in. I really love it. Im hypnotized by the tv when i watch it, its weird.
Sharon van etten is in there
- pango0

*SPOILERS, etc*
Just finished it. Effectively nothing is resolved or revealed. And I think I like it that way.
- I wonder if they will do another season or leave it that way.shellie
- I think the obvious would be for a new season to come up. Studio execs know people hate, hate, hate loose ends. On the other hand, I think I'm perfectly ...Continuity
- ... satisfied with it the way it ended, and don't really need for it to be further explained or resolved. Sometimes, mystery is good.Continuity
- Me on the other hand was feeling a bit let down by the vague ending. I want to see more! lolsea_sea

SPOILERS
--------------------------------...so I loved so many aspects of the show.
The opening credits a third of the way through the episode.
The fairy-tale like backstory of OA's childhood.
The acting, cinematography, and the central mystery to the story.what i couldn't get past was the tribal/dance.
You were either 'In' or 'Out' when this was revealed in ep 5.
I was definitely out."OH, COME ON" was my reaction during the final reveal.
and yet I may give it another shot if and when the 2nd season rolls out. DAMN you BRIT MARLING !!
- The hissing is hilarious.DRIFTMONKEY
- it was all way too much for me.
too much cringe.Ramanisky2 - I thought so too, but think about it. its perfect. It works as a perfect tool to make you question her sanity. All the info, plus the facts, work as things to..sofakingback
- convince you she's telling the truth. The whole dance thing is cringe worthy and odd. Hence its usefulness in the final scene. "the hell is this???"sofakingback
- Yea. Can see MANY ppl going thru this. In fact, I anticipated lol hard at the final scene because of exactly that. But somehow I got past it.dopepope

It's funny you're feeling the whole dance thing. I thought it was a really clever device.
Normally, when dealing with the supernatural thing, one would expect seances, trances, flashes of light, bla bla bla. That's the usual sort of treatment. I found the dance really humanised it, whilst actually feeling a bit like a possession of some sort.
- It also eliminated any need for cheesy or clichéd CG effects.Continuity
- *not feeling, rather.Continuity
- it made me cringe,
sorry but I wasn't sold on that idea.Ramanisky2 - 2016 version of Native Americans dancing around the fire. Psychic Zumba!BH26
- It's very similar to contemporary dance lol.pango
- My friends who does contemporary dance are going have some fun out of this. :Ppango
- Reminds me of kundalini yoga and how they believe a combination of mudras (hand movements), breathing and sounds can unlock/create changes in your energy body.sea_sea
- Ramanisky20
also what was FBI agent doing in her house when the kid found all those books? was that meant to be a sort of Usual Suspects Kaiser Soze moment? did I miss something.
- Not so much spoiler as observation...hellobotto
- he's the same guy who mentioned that psychics pick up on what's around them. i'm wondering if he planted the books.hellobotto
- Yeah, it makes sense if he planted the books.DRIFTMONKEY
- Off topic, the actor who plays the agent is from The Night of, which is very good. Slow, but good.DRIFTMONKEY
- he's also in the amazing ..
'Nightcrawler'Ramanisky2 - He's also Bodhi Rook in Rogue Oneok_not_ok
- He planted the books ... that possibility never occurred to me ... hmm ...Continuity
- He's also in the sweat shop boysRanger
- Its weird that he was there but.. 1: Why would he plant those books? 2: Did she even mention the story to him? I don't remember her telling him details.sofakingback

Loved it. Thought it was brilliantly done right up until it wasn't. Ended up hating it.
- Twist endingdopepope
- Let me guess: that spiritual/dance stuff is where you started questioning that it's made for you?sted
- yup. Episodes 1-4 i was telling everyone I knew (the end of 3 was devastatingly haunting [in a good way]). Then 5 and i was like 'wut?' Then 8 and rage.ridg0026
- hissssssssssssssssss...DRIFTMONKEY
- I came around on the movements. What struck me as silly gave way to an appreciation for mysticism presented without relics or scriptures. That said...hellobotto
- ...hated the ending, but I'm choosing to not let the wrong punctuation completely unravel an otherwise interesting sentence.hellobotto
- the movements bothered me a little, but more I think because it felt ripped off from House of Stairs (older YA book). It was the end that soured me completely.ridg0026

Felt like it was written to get people to binge before having a good or sensible story. I enjoyed it and cringed and laughed at the dance sequences and about half way realized its play, and figured fuck it im in for a dime im in for a dollar and watched it without any high expectation and towards the end with the glass windows was like ah fuck its gonna be a school shooting wrap. when it was all said and done decided i would the bit of enjoyment and wondering what and guessing where this was going wasn't really worth it. I'd say you could easily skip it with so much better tv on. I should have watched fargo instead or so much other good stuff I havent found time to watch.
- Christian-1
Disliked it as much as the other crap these two have come out with. Can't stand Brit Marling's acting.
- sea_sea2
I'm 3 episodes in. That last one was a bit disturbing. It's late and I was dozing in and out of sleep, it scared the shit out of me.
- thats a good episode. i'm about to put the series on and let it roll as i drift off. first *sip* I'll finish this drink.shellie
- Binge finished it tonight. It helped to hear some people not like it. I was expecting to be disappointed and I wasn't.sea_sea
- I did want more at the end. Also had so many questions. Loved the disorienting feeling of not knowing where it was headed sometimes. So out there.sea_sea

Really liked it. I place this in the "special" box. Its original, and refreshing. Its a piece of Art to me. We could analyse it for a long time.
Its not the same, but made me think of Donnie Darko.
- refreshing? please...monospaced
- Well, looks like nothing ive seen beforeBennn
- yeah I found it refreshing.inteliboy
- it was frustratingly vague, and that's nothing unique eithermonospaced
- not for everyone and its ok. not for you obviously.Bennn
- Mono does not agreeset
- damn set, why do you always shit on me whenever I share an opinion, just like everyone else?monospaced
- lol relax old bean. Just found it weird the way you suggested his opinion on it was wrong 'please...' . It's his opinion yo...set
- I hardly shat on youset
