I have an object, its sort of like a cylinder with rounded corners, and its rotated about 30 degrees or so.
How do I then scale this object properly considering the fact that the object is rotated? When I try to scale it now with any of the scale tools, it insists on distorting the object.

just parent it to a null and scale it, or use uniform scale
(not 3ds max, just general 3d pratice)

Or scale via local coordinates rather than world/global coordinates.

Ahhhh switching it to local is what i needed. Havent done much 3d work in a long time.
