Is everyone on Chrome or Firefox or something from Microsoft?
I detest Safari. I like it's elegant design but I don't feel in control when using it. It feels like driving an assisted-driving machine.
Anyways, check out Min. This is a new browser for Mac OS that promises to be small, fast and unobtrusive.

Let me know if there are any browsers out there that we should know about.

I'm trying to get away from Chrome due to the impending borg-like control of Alphabet/Google.
Trying to like https://vivaldi.com/?lang=en, but not able to get into it yet.
Nice to see sdome alternatives like the aforementioned Min, but again it's tough to break free from the Chrome/Gmail/Etc. clasp.

Vivaldi has been sitting on my computer for a while with no use. I just tried to open it and it crashed. not a good impression.

safari runs slow as hell on my machine—gpu probably. chrome still works the best—despite all its flaws

I use Safari because I like how it shares stuff through iCloud. I started using it all the time for most browsing because of that. However, I use Pocket now for bookmarks and don't bookmark anything through Safari anymore.
I use Chrome at work as my primary browser, and Safari for just random stuff throughout the day. I use Firefox on my home computer for coding sites for the Web Dev toolbar and Firebug. I never bothered getting into the equivalent tools that Chrome offers.

I'm happy with Safari. Renders well, is quick, good dev tools, iCloud syncing.
I couldn't use Chrome for ages on my work machine as it refused to show any secure site - I eventually had to hose my entire keychain before it would work again (some issue with certificates).
- Never had those issues with Chrome. And the dev tools are a million times better than Safaris.fadein11

All in for Chrome, esp. when using Google services like Mail and you have an Android phone.

Safari is my main browser, is the one that runs best on OS X (specially on older Macs).
For work I use all of them.

- Safari. Chrome for me was a dog all last year and was crushing my computer. Safari has been much more stable.kona

Does anyone else have problems with Firefox 58? Slowed down and fucked up. Had to re-install to make it work again...
- Nope, fine here.detritus
- I've just encountered the weirdest problem: A page on Localhost simply refuses to refresh. If I load in Chrome or direct via directory, it's fine.detritus
- It was refreshing fine all afternoon long, and then after a restart .. stopped. I'm completely flummoxed.detritus
- researched it a bit, FF58 does have some problems.renderedred
- mostly memory issues, so it could be that it's back where it was before...renderedred
