It all seems coming to an end now since Macedonia closed their borders for all non-Syrians and the EU concluded its 3 billion Euro deal with Turkey yesterday to protect their borders to Greece.
The last few month an average of 8000 people crossed the Austrian/German border in Spielfeld, today only 10 people did.

I have mixed thoughts about this.
Since this war has started Syrians started flooding into Turkey. It's estimated 2 million refugees in Turkey now.
On one hand these people run away from a war that has been fed by Turkey and the West, on the other hand, in some cities crime rates have increased, In Istanbul it's full of arabic speaking beggars everywhere and interestingly they keep giving birth to new babies while living in terrible conditions.
Maybe this is the case for only a small percentage of immigrants and maybe the majority is integrating in a way that we don't even feel or be bothered.Either way, mass immigrations always happened in history and changed certain social and cultural settings. Like Africans to America(forced immigration), like Irish or Mexcians to USA, Spanish Jews(or Sephardic jews) to Ottoman empire, Algerians to France, Mongols to Hungary etc...
Most of them are not welcomed at first, but then slowly created the society again from within.Borders and fences can't stop people, they always find a way.
So instead of grunting we should just continue with the flow. And who knows maybe one day you might decide to immigrate to somewhere else too.

"Globally, one in every 122 humans is now either a refugee, internally displaced, or seeking asylum. If this were the population of a country, it would be the world's 24th biggest."
http://www.unhcr.org/558193896.h…
the problem is unprecedented and we're only at the beginning of figuring what is going to happen.
regardless of where we go next, refugees are only one symptom of much deeper problems.

"You are joking right? complaining about slow internet connection and BAD SERVICE. Bad service? this isnt a hotel."
"this is loco...poor people in holland are happy with a free meal or a fresh shower. look at these spoiled rats.."
Come on man, you serious?
These people are HUMAN BEINGS, being forced to leave their entire life behind because of the military war complex (tax payer supported by the way). These people are not moving because they want to, they are moving because if they don't, THEY WILL DIE.Have just a little empathy man, no one is asking you to host a family in your home. They have nothing man, just think about that for a second, think about how would you feel if that happened to you. having wifi to communicate with loved ones that you might never see again in your life because of situations out of control doesn't sound like a luxury anymore does it?
If you ever felt bad for victims of a tornado, firestorm, tsunami or any other natural disaster, this should make you feel 10 times worst, knowing that most of our tax dollars put these families in misery weather you support war or don't. At least natural disasters happened are random / unexpected / non-preventable events.
No offense to you, but If you are not going to say something nice, don't say anything at all man. Just be very glad that you are not in their shoes man, tonight when you go to bed, hug every member of your family and give them a hug, close your eyes and remember that the only reason is them and not you is PURE AND ABSOLUTE COSMIC LUCK

Hungary has stopped thousands of refugees and migrants from coming into its country but it now wants - or rather needs - foreigners to help deal with its labor shortage. Kristina Jovanovski reports from Budapest.
