$10/mo seems like too much when combined with all the other $5-10 dollar services I'm paying for (netflix, hulu, spotify etc...).
However, What the hell did people expect them to do? If everyone is going online with adblockers then a big portion of the revenue taken from them? They're a business. Their purpose for existing is to make money. If you take that away their main source of income they will need to find alternatives.

"The thing is Tom, we're gonna need you to make more money in 2016. Right now the amount of money we make is costing us too much money. We need to build more money making programs to sustain our current money making programs...
... look, just get the fucking money Tom."

Cameron's "Titanic" (one of highest grossing films ever) was seen by only 7% of world's population.
Hit TV series that everyone is talking about the next day is watched by 3% of US population.
We forget how big the world is and that much, MUCH of the world doesn't revolve around what we do, watch, read, think (or don't - as might be the case with the Swedish guy's audience). And so you have those "who the f*** is this?" moments even with guys seen by billions. [never heard or seen his videos]

$10 is going to be difficult to sell. They'll need some amazing content to really compete (unless I am just old and have not idea what the kids watch). Amazon is really starting to be competitive with Prime and all you get for less than this $120/yr.
I hope it brings some competition and more content for less, but we'll see.
