Not really queue jumping - win 10 was released yesterday, so you can go download it. Nothing outlandish there.
.
I'd wait 'til SP1, or whatever they call it through the iterative process, before installing though.
- 'yesterday' = recently.
Still on my second cup of tea of the day.detritus - It's not automatically available for everyone the instant it's out. You have to wait for it to push, right?monospaced

..although that said, I have a relatively virgin laptop running fucking Windows 8 that would be a good candidate for a quick upgrade.
God, W8 is such a mess.

It's going to take lot to convince me to upgrade from Windows 9 considering how good it is

I reserved my copy, but still haven't received the notification that my update can be installed. The Windows 10 icon is still in my Windows 7 tray (is that what it's called?) at the bottom of the screen still.
- yeah. can't remove it either if you try xDWeyland
- Not strictly true, you can uninstall update KB3035583 to get rid of it.detritus
- I don't want to get rid of it... I want Windows 10 :)monospaced
- as with any OS I would wait a while mono - you know how it works with osX - same thing. just hang on a whilefadein11
- OS X never gave me any issues like some people. Win 10 reviews have come back as stable so far.monospaced

Okay it wants to update now, but I'm just wondering if anyone is guinea pigging this? I don't have another machine to test it on so would be nice to know I'm not making a grave mistake if I try it
- < will I need to reinstall all my programs? Will my Adobe crck er I mean software (cs6) still work?Projectile
- I did the upgrade from 8.1 to 10 on a Surface Pro 3. It kept all of my previously installed software. Took about 35 min to complete the upgrade.Jetserf
