I want the best camera phone, for me it's down to the Experia Z3 and the LG G4
Z3 can do this:
It's waterproof..
I wanna take pictures inside waves!
...but the LG has manual everything, up to 30s shutter! Plus image stabilisation and infra red and manual focus...
I wanna be able to do light painting any time!
I'm really on the fence between these two
There is talk that the Z3+ lets apps push the shutter speed above 4s, but it's a lot pricier than the Z3.. and the LG camera is still better

No Galaxy S6? The reviews I've read put the LG and Samsung eye to eye on the camera.
- S6 doesn't have the same manual control level or the infra red focusing and it's way pricierProjectile
- It has a Pro Mode which allows you to control things manually, what is missing?formed

Also... the Z3 can take shots like this...

Z3 has dedicated camera button which is so much nicer than having to press an on screen button. Love mine.

It has to be a phone? I've fallen in love with the Sony NEX series for portable photography..
- Yeah, I have a camera but it's only occasionally on me. This is for a single pocket deviceProjectile

Good choices though. I've used almost everything and Sony and LG are definitely leading the way in my opinion. Slightly prefer Sony to LG mainly for build quality.

I'm with set, the G2 and G3 are great, but the G4 feels cheap somehow, maybe a personal preference thing.
I'd go for Z3, but the Z2 is a smart buy too, it's pretty much the same phone but is more sturdy and cools itself better (matters if you're somewhere hot), and is a relative bargain.
The Sony apps are actually good too!

This looks good: http://www.theverge.com/2015/7/2…
Though why don't android phone makers use stock android? Why is everything skinned?

I am seriously considering dumping my antiquated iPhone 5s for the LG G4. The camera is superior, it shoots 4k video.

Moto X got third place, after two Samsungs. I was pleasantly surprised, it's a nice phone at a good price.
