Strange html problem

I have 2 rows of divs that I'm using as buttons. Bottom row of buttons works perfectly fine, but for some reason in the top row, only the bottom half of the buttons are clickable.
All of the buttons are exactly the same with just different titles in them. And before you wonder why I'm using things like show/hide layers, font tags... it's because I'm in a locked down CMS and have no access to any CSS or JS.

I just posted the code for 1 of the buttons, but on the page, it's basically set up like this:
button button button
button button buttonBottom row works fine, top row only the bottom half of the buttons is clickable, even though the code is identical to the bottom row.

your fiddle seams somewhat incomplete.

I only posted the code for one of the buttons.

if they are absolutely positioned, there's probably some issue with stuff getting in the way and blocking the clickable area.

can you paste the code with all buttons to see if we can help better? Just change the text if thats an issue..

Ok I updated the code with the 6 buttons. See what's weird is this isnt a problem if you just preview it straight in a browser, it's once it's published in sharepoint is when the top half of but buttons in the top row arent clickable. Really odd.

When you click a button, it turns it off and turns the green one on, so thats why there's so many layers, and its done this way because I basically cant do much of anything in sharepoint. No access to anything outside of a basic source editor.

you need to give the updated link..

Maybe some sort of display block would help?

Oh wow, for some reason I put a display block on just 1 of them as a test, and suddenly the whole row is working now. WTF. Well thanks anyway lol.
- That's sounds like a fudge. It would be good for you to work out what the problem IS and then fix it, not just put a plaster over it.detritus

Again we'd need to see the full HTML, which you're presumably unwilling to give, for whatever reason.
Code snippet you've shared 'works' in that it's all clickable.
Presumably whatever's causing the problem is unrelated to the posted code.
So, Open Chrome/Firefox, move your mouse over the offending area, then click Inspect Element, or whatever, and trace through the stack 'til you find out what's going on.

what doctype header are you using?
Sometimes tweeking that can make a difference in things like this.
If you have to, try various versions of the doctype line,
yes it's good to see the full HTML....
- Cant, Im in a CMS. I have no control over things like that.CygnusZero4
