Ello mates,
would love to get your professional feedback on this website i've designed.
Client wanted it to be mostly black and green (i know it hurts your eyes). International version is on it's way, translating as we speak...
Thanks in advance!

Horizontal scrollbar... non-responsive, why?
No need to use Arial anymore - needs more interesting type.
Drop-downs look like they are not finished.
Photography is a little bland as well.
Sorry - not that keen on it because it feels a bit old fashioned.
No excuse not to make that site responsive when based on a strict grid like that.- aaaah... dammit! Forgot there is still the old site wich is shown from oudsite the NetherlandsRoberthannink
- Hmmm if you click on the Dutch flag and change location (top of screen)? Hope that works...Roberthannink
- it's serving the right version now - when I first clicked your link above I saw the old versiondetritus
- yep can see it now - green is too strong - tone it downfadein11

- Minds me of gamer nerd websitesdetritus
- the colour scheme, I mean. I quite like the site otherwise. Although I'd go for full coverage of the grid when used, rather than the stepped corner thing.detritus
- You right! I tried to convince the client to change it. He wouldn't even consider...Roberthannink

The colors don't bother me as much as the lack of attention to type and layout. For instance on a page like this:
http://www.unispace.nl/EN/Projec…
Everything is the same size and it's all small ugly text with underlined links. Also the grey backgrounds seem unnecessary.
Or this page:
http://www.unispace.nl/EN/Archit…
Does that tiny type really invite you to read the content?
Another thing I noticed, in the top nav, the subnav is indented by a different amount for each dropdown.
I wouldn't worry about the colors. With the right attention to detail, you can make the ugliest color scheme work :)
- Mate, could you change language (top of screen) to Dutch? I forgot to say that the English version is still the old website. Sorry
I hope you like the new one!Roberthannink

PLEASE change the language (top of screen) to Dutch...
I totally forgot that the old version (English) is still visible from outsite the Netherlands.
Many excuses! ;-(
- ahaha...you're right. Sorry!
New version looks much better.youngdesigner

There's no cohesion between the horizontal top bar and the vertically cut off main image. Either cut the top bar off to match the image or span the image full width. At the moment it feels really awkward.

I just wrote that and then clicked the link again and it was totally different.
Is http://www.unispace.nl/ the old site?
- Mate. I'm not sure what everyone sees... ;-)
From here (NL) i se the new site, i guess if you change language to Dutch you should see it to.Roberthannink

2004?
- I think that's 85% to blame on the colours.
(and the pinline)ben_ - Not sure what to do with your comment mate...?Roberthannink

It's pretty nice overall. The colours are a bit harsh on the old peepers. I'm not a fan of the white keyline around the menu and dropdowns... it makes it feel a bit dated, if it were me I'd choose a dark grey maybe so it doesn't merge into the background of the site, but also doesn't need the white keyline
- I'm turning soft in my old ageset
- Thanks!! I wil see if i can delete the keyline without informing the client... ;-) Thanks for the feedback!Roberthannink

I'm seeing your new site just fine - nice update over the original. Few glitchy transitions, but overall a big improvement from the old. I agree with detritus on the colour scheme, but you probably weren't there from the start, so it's not on you so much.
It does seem like some layout opportunities were missed, http://www.unispace.eu/NL/Ontwer… pages like that could be a little more inspired maybe - did they have decent content?
The grid as an element bothers me a bit - I get why it's there, but might have more of an impact if it were an iso grid? It could compliment your pagers and bullet graphics a bit better.
- Cheers Ben!
Wanted to keep the innerpages clean and easy to edit for the client, but i agree these pages could need something extra.Roberthannink

Text size is a bit small, especially on mobile sizes. Might want to bump that up, even if only on less than 479px screen sizes.

Is this the old site or new site?

Social media links and language selector needs to chill out. just need a suggestion of social logos these days - way too over the top

Lose the stroke on the drop downs. Use mono SM icons, the colours ruin the palette. Nice though.

Design / layout looks good.
Did you code it too? What CMS engine is it?
