I think Apple Music will not be the next big thing because the market is already over-saturated. Again, Apple is late to the party. People already have great streaming services with the same content.
Besides that, Apple already failed horribly once with "Ping", their way of personalized listening. Anyone remembers?
I just don't see why I should cancel my perfectly working spotify subscription. It has everything besides Taylor Swift, works on all my devices and costs the same as the capped Apple stuff.
- True on all counts. If it succeeds, it'll be due to convenience/integrat... and migration of those who only buy iTunes tracks (tons, btw).monospaced
- By that logic, they shouldn't have started with iPhones because the Newton didn't sell.CyBrainX
- Oh, I forgot about CarPlay... I think Apple Music will enter there too and do fairly well.monospaced
- Does this mean Apple has Taylow Swift??!?!formed
- no... does anyone stream Taylor Swift?monospaced
- The market share of cars that are capable of CarPlay is so low and extremely low growing. @CyBrainX: The iPhone was something new, Apple Music is one of many.mekk
- it's low because it is brand new, and it is growing extremely fast, actually, with many major manufacturers incorporating itmonospaced
- I can't even think of a single car-maker that ISN'T supporting itmonospaced
- yes but only in new cars with bigger screens. look out of your window, how many cars are new and expensive enough to support it?mekk
- all of themmonospaced
- you live in hollywood or what?mekk
- NYC, but honestly, almost all cars have big screens now, and it's not just the big new expensive onesmonospaced
- what about the radio Thing. that could be a HIT. (if they manage to do it really good)uan

^^ there's a free 3 month trial starting June 30.
I'll be testing the waters.

I find it surprising no one here is interested in paying for music after more than 10 years of FMT.
- I buy most, if not, all my music from Bandcamp nowadays. Stopped using Spotify a long time ago. I have no problem paying ~100kr for an album I really like.face_melter

- I will die a glorious hero death knowing apple finally have sbs multitasking in 2015,
downvote all you want, my body is readygeorgesIII - Apple meaning iOS that isernexbcn

I absolutely despise this new UI font for OS X and iOS. It's uglier than a jar of pickled arseholes.
But, like the good Apple user that I am, I'll learn to get sort of used to it, and I'll keep using their stuff. Sigh.

Perhaps an Android expert like georgesIII can shed some light into how is the Android OS tablet multitasking implementation (side by side? PIP video?).
I did a few google searches but didn't find anything conclusive, most were third party hacks.
- multitask has be on since the time of webos, flash was working perfectly since froyo, all the option you're talking about have been on since the S4, reallygeorgesIII
- nothing innovative was said yesterday, but since apple experts only like apple, is hard for them to see what's going on the other side, can't wait for next yeargeorgesIII
- https://www.youtube.…set
- I remember seeing it in commercials for other tablets a long time ago. Pretty sure MS is making a big deal of it on Surfaces too, which are selling like CRAZY.monospaced
- oooh mono, this has nothing to do with selling or not, this has everything to do like they are revolutionising shit when they are not..georgesIII
- dude, I know Apple is late to the game, and I'm not defending them in any way, so get of my nutz :)monospaced
- you're right too, sales are meaningless, because even if you don't sell well, if you made it first you win right?monospaced
- you do not understand my point mono, the point is apple slows the advancement of tech until they can monetize it, which is why I can't support their bs, simplegeorgesIII
- as that, look at tesla motor, they open source everything and giving the tech away, now look how long it will take for people around the world to adopt this newgeorgesIII
- tech unlike apple who take fuckn 10 years to inplement simple shit like NFC, because they can't monetize it (actually nfc is enabled but only for apple pay) lolgeorgesIII
- I understand your point, and I'm not even arguing it. My comment was in 100% agreement with you, that these advancements are not newmonospaced
- As a technologist aficionado, I hate nothing more than a corporation slowing down "human" evolution; PgeorgesIII
- how are they slowing anyone down? I don't get your argument / hate.inteliboy
- georgesIII5
- and on MS surface: http://www.fabianpim…mekk
- I knew about Surface, wasn't sure about Android. Can you snap two different apps?ernexbcn
- Yipset
- samsung, not android.inteliboy

In the end we are all bitching about how shitty Apple is - and continue buying/using their crap and watch them getting even richer and richer. Then repeat.
- Not all of us. Got my Surface and S5, we'll see how it goes (though an ipad is mostly useless, so the S will be wonderful, iOS/Android are so similarformed

I like Apple products because I like using them. They feel thought out. Just because they could use something 5 years ago doesn't mean they have to. Having everything working together is not a easy task when you want to cram everything on it. That means making sure all the variables are playing ok with each other. Getting a good base and incrementally adding stuff to it seams logical to me when you want to control every part of the process.
- I never cared about the time they take to implement each ideas, what irritates me if they pretend they invented it and people buy itgeorgesIII
- I hear you, georges, but does Apple really pretend they invented it? I never really got that impression overall.monospaced
- I feel like they presented these new features like they were overdue and just happy to have been added at all :)monospaced
- What I don't buy into is the bullshit Apple marketing, but I don't buy into Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Facebook, or whatever any other company. Nobody should.ESKEMA
- Apple may not be the "inventors" but they are the ones who did things right. What was an mp3 player before the iPod? What was a mobile phone before the iPhone?iCanHazQBN
- They definitely led the way and did things right in the beginning but they've utterly lost it now. It's become a faggy designer labelset
- My phone is far nicer, works far better, battery lasts far longer and doesn't break when I drop it and it's half the price of an iphone.set
- You literally pay for the brand name like a faggy little teenagerset
- and every cunt is welcome to do that but don't try and convince yourself and everyone else that the price is justified.set
- Don't be a cunt and think you're the reason for everyone else.ESKEMA
- Jumbled up nonsensical sentences will not save you now.set
- It's not a tech company it's a lifestyle company nowWeyland
- who wrote a jumbled up nonsensical sentence?monospaced
- lol @ how much people debate this shit. It's just another company, buy their products or don't.yuekit

Why Apple appears to be so obsessed with your privacy.

Every year Apple puts out new products, and every year people shit all over it. How is your 500 billion company doing this year?
- pretty good actually, we just released the 2nd revision of the OS for a watch most people still havent been able to buy..autoflavour
- what do you mean they haven't been able to buy? they sold out and are still selling them onlinemonospaced
- autoflavour1
strangely enough, my snow leopard machine still running strong.
i feel so out of touch with the youth..

My 2Cents.
Can someone point to me where Apple ever said they "Invented" a feature? I can't seem to find it.
And the split screen feature is not part of Android. It a Samsung thing the implemented in Touchwiz. And a MS thing I believe they did in Windows mobile.
Picture in Picture. Samsung, not Android. People seem to confuse Android with Samsung.
The music streaming is a great deal if you can get 6 people to do a family plan. Thats $2.50 each. Find me a service that offers the same library and features for $2.50 a month.*
*I agree that $10 is too much for a single account.
- ernexbcn1
Like mono said, Surface tablets are selling well lately. iPad sales have slowed more than what Apple would like. The mulitasking features on iOS 9 for the iPads are a good way to give a bit of fresh air and usefulness to the device.
What I hated the most about the iPad was when watching a video you couldn't go and do something else while doing that. Now you can PIP it and move it around while switching apps. That plus side by side are all great features.
My iPad is 3 years old and I'm still using it daily, mainly for leisure. This OS update made my decision to to get a new one much easier.
- to be fair, everyone's tablet sales have slowed more than they would like, the market saturated really quicklymonospaced
- Anyone remember netbooks?Weyland
- what, like the Macbook Air?monospaced

Gene Munster on Apple Stock’s Outlook
A top Apple (AAPL) analyst doesn’t expect the company’s new music streaming service to be another game changer for the tech giant.
“Yes, they’ll gain some share, but it doesn’t move the needle,” said Piper Jaffray Managing Director Gene Munster. "Assuming they knock the cover off the ball, it adds about a percent to the business.”
