Anyone here have experience with using Gulp and Jekyll together and would be willing to volunteer some time to help me out on an issue?
I'm trying to combine jekyll and gulp-useref to make use of the build blocks for an internal template. Everything is working except I cant reach the JS files in the source folder to concatenate after building the jekyll site. So I tried to transfer the JS files first and then concatenate, which worked but now I cant delete the JS files I transferred.
Any ideas?

Never used Jekyll, but use both Grunt and Gulp daily.
Are you talking about for the assets task? Which specific task are you trying to tweak?

Right the 'assets' task is what I want to work... and it does... sort of. The problem is coming when using this with jekyll.
Since jekyll needs to create all my source files I can't run the other tasks until the jekyll task is complete. However, two things go wrong. The first is that the build blocks work but leave behind the original files (this wouldnt be a problem if I could point back to the source folder) and Second when I watch jekyll and regenerate it wipes out the scripts folder I have created.

This seems like the answer: http://stackoverflow.com/a/25755…
You want to trigger a jekyll rebuild once the watch task completes.
Another way to try this would be something like https://gist.github.com/jasonsee…
- Then again, maybe I should just read the Jekyll docs to see if I'm even close...Crack_Junkie
- I'll check those out. Thanks for the helpvoiceof
