New notes, not a fan. No anti-spoilers. Makes me feel like I have so much to read now. I'm getting tired before i even get through 3 of em. Whereas, before, i could go like 20 notes deep whistlin' dixie ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just looked at it on an iPad. Looks fantastic. The color accents are nice

Is this the new First World Problems thread?

Overall fantastic improvements !
tanks a million QBN

Gotta say it again. The tablet experience is vastly superior to the old site. That was a nightmare to view on an iPad, but I did it constantly. This is just lovely now. Thanks for caring enough!

i don't get the utility of upvote / downvote?
outside of perhaps a critique thread (which, ha ha how often does that really happen?) ... the usual back-and-forth here seems like a strange fit for vote based commenting
- i mean other than that i love itcolin_s
- Upvotes were only part of Question threads in the beginning. But people weren't using those threads when asking questions. So they removed Question threads and had to add Upvote to regular threads. Now it's like FB like with the ability to unlike.ORAZAL
- WHOA There were Question threads? I'll bet nobody knew that there were question threads.nb
- Nobody knew no nothing but everybody complaining.ORAZAL
- The up/downvote thing is a system designed to make yurimon as miserable as possible. I approve.Continuity
- I didnt mind until I realized its useless to the purpose of this site and n eye soar.
Its better served to have you be able to book mark n manage what you likeyurimon

From a UX prospective id say the upvote and down vote # is an eye sore. The way it is displayed in bold and its location is an eye soar. even if positive, i feel it takes away from the priority of the user experience in its location and boldness. A smart usability feature for this particular crowd, (mind you we are not facebook here) would be for votes to be visable only when you click on to view by votes to organize the order of your view by votes and should be the only time votes are visible. otherwise its an archaic feature and eye soar because you see it before your experience of the post.
- an eyesore? you don't even see it until you hover over the post.moldero
- no it shows up as a bold number in black next to the user name.yurimon
- No, you don't have to hover to see it. It's always there. At least on Mac/Safari.iCanHazQBN
- I think it takes away from the experience because it gives a you a plus or minus too early before you see the rest of the main post. its a distraction.yurimon
- in a plain text post it dominates the space to much because of the boldness of the phone and coloryurimon
- errr mean font and coloryurimon
- I would think you would want the content given first visual priority and then the poster or comments. I think this fails in the current visual structure. this becomes a voting site.yurimon

Ok, ok.... up/down makes sense for Q&A threads, but not regular threads. I get that people won't always know where they are supposed to post.
So, why not add the ability for any user to mark any thread as "Question + Answer" thread even after it has been posted? If it gets marked as one, then the up/down votes appear and you anyone can vote posts.
If for some reason it later gets marked as NOT a Q&A, then the up/down score should remain saved (but no longer displayed) in the thread. This way, there would be no reason for anyone to abuse the "marking of the threads as Q&A" because there just wouldn't be a benefit.
Of course, both Q&A threads and regular threads should show up in the left sidebar together so people can easily see them.
- Also, thanks for all the hard work whoever is doing this! Everything about the New QBN is better than the old one.nb
- oey1
where's the off topic button?!
I was slowly getting my QBN in order...
seems the spam and shitty threads will continue to be part of my life.fucking whiners!
:D

I like the show x more notes on the home screen, maybe the same can be implemented for discussions. If the notes go longer than the actual post itself, it gets a "show more notes" feature

Can we have another "Sort by"
so Far we have Oldest, newest and vote. Can we have something like sort by "Notes" ?
posts with the newest note at the top
or posts with the most notes at top.
ya?
- yurimon-6
I think a way for saving and organizing your favorite posts or content should be added as a feature. I think by today's standards you should be able to organize your favorite posts in your account for cryin out loud.
- iCanHazQBN-2
^ Right.
Aside from the fact that it's responsive, it doesn't feel like a modern forum made in 2015. It's lacking some features.
- iCanHazQBN-2
Also for the up/downvotes, why is it -3, but not +3? You should add a plus sign next to the number when it's positive.
And why is the number directly next to the username? It makes it look like it's related to the user, when it should be related to the post. The placing isn't very good.
- I think a programer designed this site to be honest.yurimon
- How do you downvote notes? I'd like to downvote the above note.iCanHazQBN

- Also the one above this note.iCanHazQBN

This new version is overall a nice downgrade

Loving the sort by vote in gif thread. and POTD thread.
although i'm not too sure how it's being sorted when there are not votes on a post...
- dbloc-2
since you go rid of the question threads, you should add the Q to official QBN threads. I miss the Q
