Yo fellow QBN'ers
I'm heading for a road trip in LA to SF this feb. (14-22 feb)
Any tips on what to do at the city of lights all by my self?
Already reserved a convertible mustang-o to drop off in SF
Would love to meet some LA QBN bros...
Definetly goin for some good weed, running away from Brazil's carnival week.
Asking about LA, because SF will be all about biking :D
You should meet up with scarabin
how's the medical permit for foreingers? like me from Brasiiiil
First time I was in LA, it has just legalized, so I went to Venice beach... some ganja doctor came to me and said:
"yoooo, need a doctor?"
me: yes! but I'm not from here..
"where you from bro?"
"can't..." and walked away
Last time I was in LA a shuttle driver bro said to me:
"yea man, like, tottally, just go and ask for a permit and you're done bro"
But I was with my sister heading to Aneheim for Blizzcon, so wasn't really a weed trip.
But this time I'm all by my self... with nothing to do in LA, just to enjoy the city and then hit the road for SF.
Thanks Pockets! will check those out
What about fresh cannabis juice? is there a place?
Go to echo park, check out the weird indy shops, have brunch at the boat house at the echo park lake then take the paddle boats out for a spin for an hour, do this on a saturday morning. great time.
Nice tips so far dudes, keep 'em coming!
LACMA is nice. Santa Monica beach is nice. Drive up to Malibu for the view. Avoid Hollywood unless you want to see other tourists.
i'm staying in north hollywood...already heard is not that great =S but at least it's close to that universal studios thing..
where's the best place to stay in SF? If you're on to biking?
- Oh god, north hollywood is a dump. I lived there for 3 years. :|Akagiyama
- I've known so many people from out of state or abroad that mistake north Hollywood as being close to anything and move there blindly pre google mapsshellie
- move there blindly. It's a really misleading name. They don't even share a boarder.shellie
The Dresden in Los Feliz
walk around Silverlake / Echo Park for shops
Venice Beach Ale house
Venice Beach wines
sunset from the roof top of the Erwin in Venice
Go to the Getty
Drive to Malibu
Pink's Hot Dogs in Hollywood
PS get an airbnb in SF, hotels are mega pricey. If you're into cycling you can cycle over the bridge to Sausalito, it's a lovely ride.
Also in SF, go to Mission Chinese and Dolores Park.
