I worked at a small agency in Bk just out of University.
We had programmers outsourced in Russia. On a test page of a HUGE website (large Client) that we were producing, a client found some vulgar language in the code. Needless to say, the Client was not happy, at all. They were big enough to have it impact their following/sales. We weren't fired but we received a huge reprimand..
Like SONY, I have this question:
"WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?"
...when stuff like this happens? Is it the head honcho, or the very individuals who, well, fucked up?
Should folks attend SONY films with pitch forks or boycott their products? Or should it be passed off. Those remarks were pretty damaging. I know that folks will boycott because of a few bad apples.
Wondering what the wonderful ppl @QBN think.

From now on, you will go through the code before publishing anything. Lesson Learned.

"We had programmers outsourced in Russia."
Who signs off on their product before presenting to client?

just curious. ok so it was the CEO's fault who doubled as the developer.

You work at an agency in Bangkok and felt the need to outsource to Russia? There's your first mistake. Just hire some cheap programmers locally.

Huge website, large client = don't outsource. Hire programmer you trust and charge client accordingly.
If client complains about this case, tell them you only went with this programmer to save them money. If they were offended, they need to grow up.

big client, big money... means you control things 5 times before going online. that's how they stay with you. otherwise it's poor quality control with your agency and they move on.

The problem with developers is they have social problems so these things happen - I always search all website comments before delivering sites. I was called a bellend once in a wordpress theme a developer did, noone noticed apart from me thank god but I wasn't at all happy.
