Any recommendations?
Daytime activities, bars / clubs music venues. Will be in Bastille initially. I've heard it's a good area for food?
Merci d'avance.

walk the city. I've been there 2 times and never took public transportation, its the best way to stumble on cool places and see everything. The only public transportation i took was the tourist bus that turn around the city, get on the open roof section to have a look at the city.

The area around Canal St-Martin is cool, little bit like the LES or Shoreditch. Good restaurant is Hotel du Nord, good cafe is Chez Prune and there is (or at least was) a good late night bar called Favela Chic.
Also, check out the Pere Lachaise cemetery, and there is a cool design store called Colette, which is near Musee d'Orsay (also amazing).
- Canal / St Martin is the best. Place de Vosges, then jewish quarter...SimonFFM

I'm there every week.
I particularly like the area around Rue Montorgueil
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/pl…walk between there and Opera and there are some cool hotels and bars. I stay in http://www.hoteltherese.com/hote…
Which is a nice gaff.
I'm sure there are other places better in Paris, but there are no tourists around there which I like.

take a walk down the champs elysees, near the arc de triomphe. The underground transporttation is super. also the montmartre is a must. great restaurants, shops etc and a great view...
