Sorry TLDR:
"Terror laws clear Senate, enabling entire Australian web to be monitored and whistleblowers to be jailed"How did this pass?

This is seriously getting OUT OF CONTROL

this all a scheme to control masses that get out of control on internet.
terror and war on terror is manufactured by civilized countries to keep proxy wars and pass harsher laws.

Can we stop voting these people in please?

Here in Australia we recently had 800 police officers raid homes in the early morning in the name of arresting terror suspects.
They arrested 1 person on unrelated charges (had 3 rounds in house left over from hunting) as a result. lol.
Much terror. Not. The only terrorist around here is the media.

no the only terrorists are the fuckers in charge at the moment..
Brandis is the biggest fucking terrorist of them all

Those 'raids' got everyone frothing just in time for the laws to be passed a week or so later. And where was the opposition who systematically disagree with everything else?
I sometimes wonder if Abbot and the twats actually want to be targeted as some kind of fucked-up sign of their importance.

Haven't had aerial plugin TV for years. Every so often I catch the news... holy shit it's just non stop selling fear and agendas.... and you realise how fucked all the people in power are. It's depressing. I kinda like going back into the bubble and cherry picking news from my own internet and video sources... even though that's no solution - otherwise will end up like yuri or son and mentally crack.

its working.. was trying to talk to my mom about the new anti terror laws and all she had to say was "some nutter stabbed 2 police men.. this is the world we live in now"
Abbott WANTS an attack like in London or the US.. it will mean all these fucked up laws will have even less opposition.. and any opposition will be seen as either unaustralian or supporting the terrorists.
i had been thinking about moving back sometime soon.. but to be honest, i have no desire whatsoever to do so..
and this isnt just a "fucking Liberals" kind of argument anymore.. Abbott is far right wing.. Neo Conservative christian, surrounded by career fuckwits..
i weep for my country...

"Greens senators, Independent MP Nick Xenophon, and Democratic Labor Party Senator John Madigan and David Leyonhjelm opposed the legislation, and put forward a number of amendments. But ultimately the legislation passed with the government's own amendments, with 44 Coalition, Labor, Family First, and Palmer United Party senators voting for the legislation, and 12 Greens, and independent senators voting against it."
