the difference is that the syrian gov never ask the us for jack shit, the funny thing is that you have the CIA coming out to complain that russia is hitting their "people",
so finally it come out, that isis is xe and a creation of the 3 letter alphabet, just like was alquaeda1!
btw for those complaining of my tone, the situation is so absurd, ffs the americans are complaining about russia bombing a country that invited them to do exactly that, at least putin is not pretending to do it for some bs democratic goal
- at least Russia has clear cut goals. The US has no idea who they're helping, who their friends or enemies are or what the fuck they're doing._niko
- Yes, Russia has no hidden agenda.isleptwithsirenstonight
- Russia's hidden agenda are it's clear cut goals._niko
- everyone has an agenda, but contrary to the US, russia didn't invade 3 countries, killing and maiming millions for no other reasons then selling weapons...GeorgesIV
- I find it so absurd that you've seen what happen to all the countries the us tried to liberate, they are floods of refugees escaping wars cause by the us andGeorgesIV
- and allies, but still russia is bad, because they are defending a country they have interest in, what a fuckn weirld world we live in that they are the bad guysGeorgesIV
- Russia definitely supported invasions of more than 3 countries...just go back to Cold War days where Russia supported communist uprisings around the world.youngdesigner
- They haven't been as active as the U.S. recently but it's really because Russia was weakened so much after Soviet Union collapsed. Not because they don't want tyoungdesigner

Things are really getting interesting now...
"Saudi Arabia demanded that Russia end its military operations against targets in Syria, a Saudi diplomat said in remarks broadcast by Saudi-owned al-Arabiya television."
- Like G said, it's still Assad's country, he invited Russia in to help, everyone else is an invader._niko

- Russia are Assads buddies. Assad is responsible for 95% of the deaths in Syria. He's a dictator. ISIS are horrific but not resposible for as many atrocities...Morning_star
- ...as Assads regime. The Russians will keep Assads regime in power although the majority of the country don't want it.Morning_star
- I guess, if assad left people like you would be praising the new islamic state of syria, like they did with kaddafi and saddam, don't you ever see the patternGeorgesIV
- or rather see a bigger fail state, everytime the west try to oust a "dictator" against the will of the people living there, it end up in shit, but the bad guyGeorgesIV
- du jour is gone, millions of citizen will die and no one sitting behind their computer will ever comments on how this shit happenedGeorgesIV

- Russians just bombed sites...not occupied by ISIS, though they said that's what they were going to do...there's a problem brewingformed
- ISIS was created in U.S. prisons in Irak...look it up...and probably given training orders by U.S. CIAreanimate

- Rissia wants to control the port and build a pipeline. Yes you're I'll informed. They will also target the straights of harmuz (sic)Hayoth
- the quick answer is that this could be the start of WW3 if things really hit the fan between Russia backing Assad, and the US supporting groups trying tomg33
- overthrow Assad. Lots of things that could go wrong here.mg33
- what an alarmist fantasy, russia is economically crippled and china would never in a million years pick sides on that one. untwist thine pantiesgilgamush

So Russia is hitting rebel forces and claiming to be targeting ISIS, the US is hitting Government forces and claiming to be targeting ISIS, so how long before the US and Russia are involved in a direct confrontation?

Isis has designs on the holy cities of Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem and poses a danger to Europe, Vladimir Putin has reportedly said.
The Russian President said the situation is “very serious” and that Moscow is worried trained jihadists from the group - which refers to itself as the Islamic State - plan to return to EU countries and Russia, according to Russia Today.

Here's an interesting public lecture on understanding the rise of IS
- I'm sure they will off course leave out the millions of dollars in weapons and money that was funnelled to them by the USGeorgesIV
- He does actually explain how they've gathered their weapons in the Q&A at the end.Ianbolton
- I listened to that guy before and he always gloss over the biggest red herring about isis, who benefits > who finances them > who is really isis, if he startsGeorgesIV
- saying that isis is alqaeda light without explaining the true roots of alqaeda, I have to shut it off, should I give him another chance?GeorgesIV
- I've not heard of him before or knew much about IS so found it interesting.Ianbolton
- they are many experts but none will address how we can doubletap a wedding in backward afghanistan but we can't take out a fuckn train of white toy yodasGeorgesIV
- I love how we're all becoming part of this war on terror. It's kind of fun don't you think?Ianbolton
- We've always been part of the war on terror, because we have triggered it, if the US didn't go apeshit in irak, there will be no isis,GeorgesIV
- I know. At least Sadam was only a dictator but not a ruthless army of head severing, mindless religious nutcasesIanbolton
- So it's not worth watching? I do want to know how their mint, bright white Toyota's, nicer than many of my friends, get to them so easily.formed

I know most of you will scoff this comment as pure raving folly,
but after watching the last isis video, it finally clicked, isis is a fuckn death cult, not a terrorist group, not a bs cult like the manson fam, or jim jones..
Isis practice something more ancient more evil.. it's similar to what the Baal worshippers, mayans high priests and african marabouts did and still do,
The way they sacrifice their victims is just too ritualistic to be random and can all be found in the bible
throat/head slicing(halal), fire burning (another ancient offer to god(moloch)), water drownings (god did it to the egyptian and it's still an important step to passing through lives) and earth burying (alive).
They are many ways to kill people, but it seem no matter where they are, beheading is their go to technic (see swedish ikea, etc, etc...)
I don't even know where I'm going with this rant.. but any group that openly promote themselves through snuff films and have hundreds and hundreds of hedgy people lining up to do their bidding isn't just your normal
- The cult of terror, just to let you know what they will do to you, if you're an infidel.
Put people in constant fear.ApeRobot - WTF?! I must've been away when that IKEA thing happened - I've not seen that anywhere in the news? ffs, Swedendetritus
- @ape, I get your drift, but the US and allies killed and maimed millions, they're like a modern death cult, Isis is literally practicing human sacrificeGeorgesIV
- their definition of infidel is so loose, isis has killed more muslims than so called infidels, you have to wonder what is their end goal,GeorgesIV
- ^
This is more barbaric from far, but eastern government are doing the same in a more "acceptable" way. ISIS like's it raw.ApeRobot - They killed other Muslims because ISIS claim they are representing the "true" Islam.ApeRobot
- More or less, the 71 Islamic sects left, are infidels to them.ApeRobot
- fuckn yes, getting droned is acceptable civilised killings, what isis is doing is literally bringing back ancient methods of terrors. we'll just have to waitGeorgesIV
- and see what they have up their sleeves and why they are left to run free to do their carnageGeorgesIV
- Probably a maneuver that was meant to destabilize a region.
And now, it's getting out of hands...ApeRobot - They run free because it kept us from looking at something else.ApeRobot
- Islam is the new Communist terror.ApeRobot
- yep, isis was a ptb creation and I still can't believe they lost control of their beast. just too convenientGeorgesIV
- ISIS is anything but a PIITB creation, if stories of their throwing gays from tall buildings is anything to go by.detritus
- lol piitb creation, thanks for making me laugh at such a macabre ideaGeorgesIV
- I'd laugh my shit off if it turned out this 'oldest koran' they've found stated that man on man love was halal, indeed, virtuous.detritus
- they're basing they're whole movement on a scripture written in the 3rd century. You could say their ways are rather primitive.Ianbolton
- The cult of terror, just to let you know what they will do to you, if you're an infidel.

Curious; why is ISIS being made out to be a joke?
Seeing/hearing lots of jokes by comedians and bloggers, I don't get it but maybe I'm missing something.

People are lumping FSA and ISIS together. FSA trained by US. ISIS is lump org from previous ISI or AQI; very iraq focused regional group.

I am just so sick of the bullshit coming out of the middle east. I have never considered myself a racist person...I have tons of friends from many different cultures, but I'm detecting an underlying racism in some of my thoughts...which is kind of disturbing.
I just don't see any good coming from anyone from this region. That's obviously a very myopic and narrow view, but Islam just seems to be a breeding ground for so many extremists, and I just don't see how Muslims can integrate into western society.
It almosts revolts me to think like that, but for the sake of my kids, I reckon we'd all be better off if the middle east was wiped off the face of the earth.
Good grief...did I write that?
- sure lets wipe out middle east, what about islamists in china, indonesia, etc?2002
