As far as Adobe CC being overpriced, I really can't agree with that sentiment. Considering most of us make the cost of a monthly subscription in 30 minutes or so, I am more than willing to pay $25-75 a month to be able to ply my trade with the tools I have become intimately familiar with over the last 15 years.

All the designers upset about Adobe not supporting Photoshop and Illustrator bug squashing more fully, I definitely share the pain. My Illustrator CC literally crashes every five minutes—I've learned to work around that, but the docs out there from Adobe and forums have all led me to dead ends. The only reason I haven't reinstalled my OS and Adobe suite is that my account was cancelled two months ago and yet I still have access, so I'm not going to jinx that.

My point is that I don't believe Adobe CC's offering to be the vastly unsupported software which some have intimated as being riddled with critical bugs. Even were that the case, I don't know how much I could complain about it when for $50ish a month I get immediate, globally-available access to software that allow me to conceptualize and produce creative deliverables in just about any medium.

As a company, I'm personally rather happy with Adobe. I have only EVER had a single issue with them in almost 15 years, and the only issue there was spending almost 3 hours on the phone with support last year to cancel off some users from my team plan.

It's also important that people realize Photoshop and Illustrator may be the backbone of YOUR needs, but there are literally fistfuls of other software either currently being supported—or coming to market soon—in CC. All of which live under the hood of CC, which was no small undertaking for Adobe to complete. Yes, it's been over a year, and yes, they could be more responsive to some bugs and issues. But really, I lost more time typing this post about those bugs than I ever have in actual production time.

    • Think the point is it's $50ish today, what's to stop that being massively hiked?animatedgif
