Hi people,
I've recently collected the last year or so of illustration and just wanted some feedback. Good or bad, it's all very helpful in my opinion.
Thanks.

Rene, nice work. You excel at with the whimsical stuff, the children's book work and the menu piece.
My only criticism is that when looking at work i always want the style to be consistent within galleries. I'd pull that personal gallery with airbrushing and photo collage and put it someplace else. The more confused the portfolio, the less i think the artist knows who he/she is.
Good luck. Keep up the great work. More!
- ahh, thanks! yes i totally see your point. great call.
renecruz - why? It's in a different gallery. I don't see why he should have his work someplace else just because he has multiple styles.ESKEMA

I'd lose the thumbnails completely, show the full images and if they are part of a series then make them click through to the full set via a lightbox/overlay or next/previous sub nav. See http://www.mr-bingo.org.uk
Plus i'd make the website background white.

My biggest issue is that without a sense of context right away they seem like arbitrary illustrations. Perhaps some photos of these in their finished form would really help. I also suggest making the credits more prominent.
- < this too. i had to go back and "look" for the details about the work and context.MrAbominable

i like it!
if you're not going to provide a write up for each, what looks like a project, then i'd display it more like a long scroll than group them together. because when they're grouped as projects, i almost start looking for information telling me what it was or what idea you were working with.
great work though!

I really like the work, but the website is kind of holding it back.
Having thumbnails for single pieces on the B&W page doesn't make much sense.
