Is there really that strong of a market of people wanting to make their own artificially flavored cheap wine?
I also find it funny there's a year field on their labels yet the wine produced has only a one to two week shelf life.

oh man, haven't even looked yet but if you think the design community flaming is bad i can only imagine how out of their minds the wine shoots will get over this product...

Making it app-based might be a mistake. If you don't have the right type of phone (or a phone at all), you can't make wine. If you lose your phone, or have to uninstall the app for some reason, can you still get your wine out of the thing?

I like it,
even though I'm sure it's going to taste like shit,
it stays

GAZILLIONS!

It'll all come down to how much people like the wine it produces.
I would ask what need does this fulfill? wine that's 4 bottles for $10? The geek factor of making it yourself? It doesn't sound like you can really customize anything so I'm not sure this would have the same appeal as home brewing.

nothing is like the real thing, but seeing that the home soda machines are killing it, why wouldn't this do good?

If this really works, they will make millions if not billions.
