i don't think you will find satisfying actions by others because you are very experienced and high quality at this yourself. if you process a series, you have presets and adjustments of similar style for them that you can safe and reuse for another project. that has much more flexibility than actions and saves a lot of time, too.

Thanks a lot!

Any reason you aren't using Lightroom? It's made to do this.

Why not record an action while you work on one image? Then use the recorded action on the rest of the images?

Just use Instagram

I use Capture One and prefer this over lightroom. I do many adjustments there already.
I was only curious how other creatives work, what workflow they use. And not using someone else's actions, underlined that I am on the right path. So thanks for that.
And recording some own actions and presets is something I could do for commercial projects. For my own works, it's good to always start from scratch (even if more time-comsuming).
Again, thanks!

@boobs: Yes, of course, I could do this.
I was wondering if other creatives (you) use actions for colour grading at all or if there are more or less only ready-made actions that behave amateurish.
- I don't use any color grading schemes. I like the photos to look as close to the original scene as possible.boobs

i prefer nik color over actions. Just more manual control.

i wouldn't use someone else's actions for my work. you don't get a lot of control.
use adjustment layers in photoshop to get the look you like, group them into a folder and save it somewhere. you can then drag that adjustments folder into your next image to use as a starting point to tweak each image individually to save time

- you can actually save your adjustment layers and create an action to build that layer stack in a layer foldermonNom

- i just like to be able to browse through a directory of saved treatments so i can see them visually rather than try and remember the look for each actionscarabin
- remember how the outcome of each action looksscarabin

why use actions when you can have a several sets/folders of adjustment layers? i would have thought adjustment layers and smart filters are an easier, more customizable way.

@jaylarson
on the subject of lightroom. one issue i have with it is that as far as i know you cant export a layed lightroom image file, like you can a PSD. Am i right in thinking this?
I dont like feeling tied to my local photo catalog, i like how modular it is when working with PSD's around with no issues.
Been a few years since i tried it so it I might be wrong now.
