Not sure how long this will last but here it goes for you people in the US:
http://xbox.microsoftstore.com/s…
Add the console to the cart (it's the Titanfall edition) on the checkout page add the promo code: 1 (yes, just 1)
Xbox One + Titanfall for 399 dollars.
Same console released just 3 months ago for 499 dollars without a game.

*update.
While waiting for the HomeWorx HW150PVR over the air cable to HDMI converter box to arrive my bedroom flat screen died.
It took a few days to convince the wife to take the 42" from the living room into the bedroom and buy a newer bigger flatscreen for the living room. I was thinking of getting a 47" Smart TV then I could return the Xbox and just use the Smart TV apps to stream movies.
Well I ended up getting a 51" Plasma TV that isn't a "smart tv" so back to thinking of using the Xbox One. But now the 51" TV doesn't fit in our media cabinet so I went to Ikea last weekend and bought completely new media center combination that I'm going to put together tomorrow.TLDR
Still in the box waiting for this weekend to set up a completely new media center and cabinet.- i hope it doesn't disappoint hahaBabySnakes
- no kidding! But I got a new Plasma and new living room out of it.fooler
- "look what stuff i got"robthelad
- nice!ok_not_ok
- @ robthelad. don't be such a sour grapefooler
- well, that's not helping me make my decision at all.... :)aliastime
- believe me I see the humor in me saving $20 on a game system them spending hundreds more rearranging my living room.fooler
- ...living roomfooler
- oh man plasmas, more trouble than they're worth. "muh image retention, better leave it on the static channel for an hour"animatedgif
- The new Plasmas are supposed to be much better, Although the reflection of the glass compared to the plastic film of a LED is driving me nutsfooler
- film of a LED is driving me nutsfooler
- Plus it was cheaper than a smaller sized "smart" LED. The colors are incredible.fooler

I've seen a good few 2nd hand for £350 with two games. Tempted.

What's the word fooler? Did ya keep the console? Been too busy playing to up date us or what?

I dunno. I'd say it is a piece of shit, at least how it works here in Australia.
The voice commands barely work. And every single feature (except for playing single player games) requires you to pay an xbox membership. You can't even watch youtube videos on the thing or use the browser without forking out cash. Plus all those nifty sports and TV things it does? Oh yeah, that's for the USA.
- Fuck now all you haters are making me second think this.fooler
- Id say if you already have it, use it and see how you like it. If it turns out to be a POS return italiastime
- I haven't opened the box yet. Most retailer won't let you return electronics but Costco will...I think.fooler
- Return it then grab the one with the Titanfall bundle.ok_not_ok
- Or just grab a PS4. I'm still deciding which console to get but I'm kinda leaning more on the PS4 now these days.ok_not_ok
- I just picked up a new PS3 Slim right before the PS4 launch.fooler
- you should get the XBO with Titanfall at least...ernexbcn
- FYI it's an online only game, maybe you can play locally with bots, but not sureernexbcn

Like I've been saying the Xbox One isn't shit but isn't worth 499€ not even with a bundled game.
More price drops will come this year.

Would love to hear some comments on the UX.
I like the idea of an all in one solution, just haven't heard too many good reviews of real world use. I'm also not sold on the Kinect due to lack of support and other known issues... Not working when it's supposed to, working when it's not supposed to, etc.

getting rid of my cable bill will help but this thought has crossed my mind. Do I need an Xbox Live account to stream movies (Netflix, Hulu, Etc etc.) and play games by myself (forza)? I haven't had an Xbox since the first gen one but a ton of my friends use Xbox so if I want to play with them I'll probably buy the Live package.
I think I need it to stream music don't I?
- aliastime0
^ For not being much of a gamer, how are you justifying the extra $60/year for the Xbox live service?
- fooler0
I just picked up an Xbox One this weekend at Costco for about $20 off MSRP. Im not much of a gamer anymore but I'm finally going to get rid of cable completly and I love the idea of having "one" central media device. I'm going to plug an HD antenna into a HomeWorx HW150PVR and it will stream OTA HD TV right through the box.
No more multiple controllers for different devices to select the correct HDMI input. Now Netflix, Amazon, Vudu and HDTV will all be on "one" system. Plus next month they're releasing this slick remote so I'm going to finally throw my Harmony all in one remote in the trash.

Definitely more of an incentive to buy the Xbox One, but I still find it funny this bundled game has no support for Kinect.
This bundle seems severely fragmented highlighting Microsofts lack of vision for the platform.

- good move, Titan Fall is getting some really good reviews - cant fucking believe its a xbox exclusive though :-/Bluejam
- Well I can't believe Killzone Shadowfall is a PS4 excliusive...SO THERE!GM278
- Titanfall's coming out on PC too though, no?detritus
- Killzone is garbage. Id much rather have titanfall.CygnusZero4
- the packaging says desperation. God I hope that was just a mock up.fooler

Bing and online has been bleeding more money than devices lately, I'd kill Bing before Xbox.
But yeah, Xbox is a tiny blip compared to Office and Windows.
- mekk0
^ I don't think this is true, as of 2012 all blu-ray players have that. Either that or the PS4 can't play Blu-Rays

The entire xbox strategy's founded on the early 00's assumption (actually, somewhat of an early 90s cocneit too) that 'some kind of singular box' would provide all of the media consumption for a household.
This never happened and probably won't; The entire raison d'etre of the XBox from a broad-strategic perspective is nullified.
People swapped their PCs for tablets and Phones, not media centres and sadly for MS they fluffed both of their strategies for these platforms, possibly because (you might argue) of a focus on XBox.
Which is to say, the investors calling for XBox to be spun off probably have a point...
