"Doing what you love is a fight - an ongoing battle against every influence that wants you to conform. There is no solace in the conformity, only a blurred view of what you set out to be. Spend your life creating something. Betray the institution."
Brandon Rike is pretty solid as a designer. He mainly does band t-shirts and seems to be able to sustain a full time income doing that.

- He seems like a good guy and his work is solid, but that kind of work is kind of easy.bainbridge
- He's not dealing with large amounts of content or solving any real design problems or rebranding somethingbainbridge

He seems like a great guy, and he is talented without a doubt. But he sounds like he's just getting outsourced by agencies. Is he really betraying the institution when he gets all excited about seeing his work at places like Target? I don't think I particularly liked his stand on innovation. He seemed to not care for it. Talk about being just a brick in the wall. When referring to Pink Floyd, that statement is cool. But looking at your work as just another brick in the wall takes on the opposite effect.
- interesting.
breadlegz - Working inhouse at Target would be working for the "man".bainbridge
